Re: Videopass - "chaseplay"

Thanks guys, I'll keep my foxtel for the moment but test out the videopass next round and see how it goes with a view to giving fox the heave-ho. I'm onto unlimited data internet now (let's see how it performs) so assuming it's reliable I won't have to worry about how much I stream anymore. Regardin...

Re: Videopass - "chaseplay"

Thanks for the confirmation. Moto2 has historically been a snoozefest, so can often be skipped to make the main race run live. But this year I'm rather gunning for Remy and would like to follow it. Just have to down-tools earlier on a Sunday I guess, or carry on with Fox. Fox is a pain with their ch...

Videopass - "chaseplay"

Hi Folks, I've been on limited bandwidth internet for the longest time (rural bliss) and looks like I may finally get onto a decent speed unlimited connection soon. I've had to have Foxtel to watch the bikes but may now be able to get by with only a Motogp videopass. I'm wondering how it works with ...

From Oz to Assen - anyone want to try meeting up?

Hi Folks, I'm taking a trip to Europe and Assen fell within the time so I'm going! In a moment of extravagance (a bucket list type thing, tho' I'm hopefully still a bit young for that lolz!) I took up one of those Pole Position Travel pit lane tickets, so I'll be mooching around the Petronas Yam gar...

Re: Silly Season 2018

Constructors points are the total of the highest points scores of any rider on the brand. In that example, Honda gets 25 and Yamaha gets 9. I told you they were often misunderstood! :D OK, so having a strong 2nd (and 3rd, 4th...) rider at least denies other manufacturers points, that makes more sen...

Re: Silly Season 2018

and another guy who racks up points for the constructor's chip, The constructors championship is often misunderstood. It is only the first bike from each manufacturer who scores the points, so if MM wins, followed by DP, CC, TN, FM, TL, then JZ05 in 7th.... honda get 25 points and Yamaha get 20 etc...

Re: Rossi's team would get Yamaha satellite priority over Te

I think the fundamental issue with inventing another 2 grid slots is that it takes away value from those teams that own their slot. Any of the smaller teams has an 'asset' in their grid slot, if someone like team VR46 wants in, then someone like Avintia have an asset that is worth a few mil. They ca...

Re: pedrosa should leave honda for suzuki...

I would think that Dani has to consider not only his immediate future (ie the contract period) but also and perhaps more importantly his future beyond that. With his multitude of injuries and with another year seemingly down the tubes already in '14, I wouldn't be all that surprised if he decided to...

Re: Motogp viewing for 2014...

So it appears OneHD in Australia has - perhaps inspired by Dorna's last minute shenanigans - decided at the eleventh hour to drop coverage of qualifying and Moto1 &2. At least that's what I've been told (and the fact my machine didn't record anything on Sunday morning). So like much of the rotw race...

Re: Minimum Weight Increases

Agreed YZR. 500's used to be 115kg, now the premier class is 160kg. The scalpel has quietly devolved into an axe, just another step in the path of turning the premier class into Super-Superbikes.
As for whether those 4kg make a difference, at the level these guys operate I am sure it does.

Re: After 2011, who will be the GOATEE ?

Such is life Rats'. The performance at Qatar was so devastating that it's hard not to stick in the memory. Casey must have been LHAO inside his helmet with such an advantage. I recall it looked like he even deliberately powered past well to the side so as to highlight the fact he didn't even need hi...

Re: After 2011, who will be the GOATEE ?

The result to my eyes looked like the Ducati had an extra gear or top end power. China's being discussed but my memory is not so strong on that race. Quatar though comes to mind. I enjoyed your posting. I still recall the phenominal power advantage Ducati (ie Stoner) had at that race, never seen an...

Re: Ant West - No Ride for 2012

Interesting on the Wimmer thing. Can you cast a similar light on Westie's departure from the KTM 250? I recall he had a blinder of a debut ride (wet of course), then some mechanical problems, then the whole ride for the following year fell apart. Aoyama picked up the ride and did very well on it.

Re: Aprilia Back In MotoGP?

Good. ........but it's got me wondering..........what do you do with a one year old bike ? In days gone by you'd sell it to a thing called a privateer, they are currently extinct but new ones are being genetically engineered by Dorna as we speak. Another year or two later they'd be sold to a thing ...
