Re: 2018 rd 14 - Gran Premio Movistar de Aragón

Might be boring but hard to see anyone challenging Marquez, Lorenzo and Dovi. I favour Marquez as he is very good at Aragon but maybe the legs of the Ducati at the back straight will give Lorenzo a chance to win.
Cal for fourth and the it´s a toss up.

Re: Silly Season 2018

When Rossi returned to Yamaha, he appeared to be in a fairly weak position. Sometimes it looks as if he has Yamaha firmly by the short and curlies. I'm wondering if his current strength is something to do with the strength of his young riders programme/facilities that he has created. There are some...

Re: Jorge Lorenzo

Honda is definitly better on corner entry, they can brake deeper into the corner. so it may seem that they are quicker through (because they make up ground in the first part) the corner but I don't think they actualy have better mid-corner speed. ducati brakes better before turning in in my opinion...

Re: Jorge Lorenzo

on what do you base this ? My guess would be Yamaha still, closely followed by Suzuki. Honda at most level with Ducati (Honda as in the bike, not Marquez). they should definitly place a speed-trap in a corner at each track. Maybe not the best mid corner but it sure is better than the DUcatis, and n...

Re: Jorge Lorenzo

True. We will see if he can do it on the Honda. I doubt it in his first year at least. He wont match Marc in mixed conditions. Nobody can. Cant wait to see though 8) It will be very interesting to see, and given his Ducati experience I think he possibly can adapt faster this time. The fact that the...

Re: Jorge Lorenzo

MM clearly can carry a high corner speed and his corner entry is peerless. Can he do it as smoothly as JL for as long and make a softer tyre work? Be as "butter smooth". I see JL conserving tyres better at some circuits where his smooth flowing style works. I don't see him being as consistent at al...

Jorge Lorenzo: "I had a lot of wheel spin and couldn't accelerate well (Jerez). If not for that I could have won the race." Fans: Lorenzo is a crybaby whiner. He can only win if everything is perfect. He can't ride around problems. Marc Marquez: We are suffering from poor acceleration. I Think our ...

Re: Gran Premi Monster Energy de Catalunya - Circuit de Barc

I expect a Rossi win. His back is against the wall again, as it was after Austin, and his record at Barcelona is outstanding. So between necessity, motivation, form and circuit record, it all points to him digging deep and pulling a win out of the bag. Then common sense would dictate Lorenzo second...

Re: 2017, thoughts on how the moves might pan out.

I am very curious to know if Ramon Forcada and Wilco Zeelenberg will follow Jorge to Ducati. Wilco seems to be a Yamaha guy through and through so I don´t think he will come but Ramon is imho crucial to Lorenzo's success. The choice byt Ducati to keep Dovi instead of Iannone is for me sure sign they...

I agree, although I'm not too sure about Stoner. I think Ducati now just need their riders to fire, or sign Lorenzo and hope he gels with the bike next season, once again I'm not too sure on this-we all though Bayliss would, we all though Gibernau would, we all thought Melandri would, we all though...

Re: Silly Season 2016....

I'm not on his bandwagon. Both he and his team-mate are new to the premier class. Espargaro goes fast sporadically, then backwards or out. Vinales has worked to consistantly improve the machine under him. He finishes where starts from, or better position wise. He's not in the class of the other fou...

Re: Silly Season 2016....

Apparently both Rossi and Lorenzo had a two year contract put in front of them at the same time, Rossi signed his and Lorenzo is contemplating his, thus the disparity between the two. I think Lorenzo is also thinking about the Ducati situation - lets face it all things being equal (and with respect...

Well its certainly heating up, I never really believed that Rossi and Jorge even slightly liked each other, now it seems the nastiness is coming out. Funny thing though, when Rossi accidentally got in Jorge's way last year Misano, Rossi was apologetic and received a penalty point which directly con...

Re: The Ludicrously Early 2016 Predictions Thread

The reason for me is that Marquez will win races on that bike even if it's a dog as he did last year. If the bike is in a place where it's any more manageable, you can't rule against him in my opinion. I still personally have zero doubts that Marc is the fastest on the grid. I more or less agree. H...

Re: The Ludicrously Early 2016 Predictions Thread

Does that mean people who bet money have Marquez as the favorite? Not sure I'd have agreed with that as things stand. Kind of a bet on whether he's learnd his lesson from 2015 or not. I am not sure how much the betting affects the odds at Bwin but I guess they have put Marquez and Lorenzo as the to...
