Re: Ducati goings on. Part 2.

At the request of Neil Spalding, I have removed the embedded scans of the MCN articles. Sorry about that, but copyright must be respected. Is it really a copyright violation to share printed material with your mates? It's not like you or Albert are making any money off the deal. I don't blame you i...

Re: Why would Lorenzo stay with Yamaha????

I think Lorenzo will sign with Ducati. If Honda take him, they'll have to admit that they can't beat Rossi by themselves. If Yamaha keep him, Lorenzo will have to admit that he didn't get the deal he wanted. But with Ducati he can have the money and the spectacle and the fame. The time is ripe to us...

I, too, think it was a racing incident.
I watched interviews with both riders after the race, and both were pretty diplomatic about it.

Re: Nicky Hayden Preseason Predicition

I think Nicky will improve over time, but so will everyone else.
He tends to put in way more practice laps than anyone else, but the reduced practice times won't allow him to do that any more.
I hope he does well, but I think Kalio is going to be the 2nd best Ducati pilot.

Re: Belinda Rogerson - Producer, BBC MotoGp coverage

I don't know... Ms Rogerson is kind of getting what she deserves over on Crash.
I certainly don't condone rudeness, but what did she expect when she essentially said, "We're not going to change our programming just because you whinging bitches make a little noise"?

Re: another brick in the wall?

It's and interesting and delicate situation. I remember watching WSBK. Troy Corser was being interviewed after a race where Haga had finished just in front of him. I distinctly remember Corser saying that he had shared his tire information with Haga. Then he added, "Now that I know he can beat me on...

Re: Rider safety? WTF!?

Do the riders feel they were unsafe given last year's rules, or for that matter when they were racing 990's? I highly doubt it and if they truly did then they would race in a different series that was "safer." I can't answer for the riders, of course, but don't forget that Elias, Hopper, Lorenzo, M...

Re: Rider safety? WTF!?

I'm not sure that track and bike safety are necessarily different, in some ways yes, but ultimately i'd say no and that the 2 go together - safer tracks can tolerate less safe bikes and vice versa... With that in mind, it seems that what is really going on here is the distribution of costs amongst ...

Wish List: Every race is like Laguna Seca 2008, but with four protagonists at the front. Elias is the highest scoring Spaniard. Dovi and Nicky both score more points than Dani. Colin wins a race. Hopper wins a race. Capi wins two races. De Punietas doesn't fall off his bike every other race. Kawi pu...

But what I always try to do, which apparently some people here don't, is play devils advocate. Try looking at the situation without bias. Hey Raul, for future reference, playing devil's advocate does not mean taking an unbiased view. It means taking an opposing view. I'm not normally such a pedant,...

1. And if he doesn't who do you replace him with? if Dani comes second and first Honda then sacking him would just be spiting themselves 2. Until Sachsenring, don't go to Welkom these days, but I don't believe the Honda is a good as the Yamaha. They've caught up a lot compared to last year but look...

Just to put in context what a ridiculous ultimatum it would be this it what amounts to: [1] you have to beat the widely regarded greatest rider of all time, [2] while he's riding the best bike on the grid (if you look at the results of the 4 Yamahas), [3] on the same tyres and while he is in the fo...

Re: Wow...just wow

"Un año más, estamos preparados para darte lo mejor." could also translate as "another year, we are ready to give you our best".....translations can be an imprecise science! I agree, but in this case I think "another year" would have been "otro año". Don't you? Remember that this is a Repsol advert...

Wow, I just watched the Repsol Honda Dani advert at the bottom of Krop's article. It's actually a pretty darned good advertisement. Dani says: Every time it happens to me, and I don't know why. In every race, every turn, there they are, behind me. What do they want? Why do they pursue me? I try to f...

I can find only small technical differences between the English and Spanish versions -- for example, in El Pais Nicky does mention separate ...

Re: Motegi race (possible spoilers after the race)

How about that last-ditch effort by Lorenzo to try and squeeze it up the inside of Pedrosa on the final lap? Some might contend that it was a mistake on Lorenzo's part, that there was not enough room, so he should have waited for another chance. On the other hand, Pedrosa had suddenly drifted outwar...
