Re: 2017 Bikes - a sidways view

I believe your clarification is all wrong. people often believe bikes compress at the rear under acceleration because they see the front rising and think the bike is "pivoting somewhere at the middle" , when actualy the whole bike rises, front and rear. this is correct janbros. Been lurking and rea...

Re: DOTY 2016

Rossi wants to win every race, like Marc last year, and that is what cost him dearly. That's spot on, he's been eager all year and overdoing it often. I think Lorenzo's problem is with Michelin in general, he doesn't have great memories of them from his start in GPs and if we are to believe Rossi w...

Re: Gran Premi Monster Energy de Catalunya-Circuit de Barcel

Iannone, being the following rider, has the responsibility. This Iannone is a twat. I don't buy his excuse. Changing trajectory when hard braking is easier that you think. The forks are fully compressed mimicking the effect of raising forks through the yokes, changing the steering angle. The steeri...

Re: The Ludicrously Early 2016 Predictions Tread

I don't want to provoke another blame-game bunfight, but I have a feeling that 2016 could be very ugly. End-2015 was of epic proportions and the feuds have only hibernated. Early on, without championships at stake, with VR and MM desperate to show the other they are not intimidated and won't change...

Re: Michelin.

I've had a few runs on an 89 tz250 reverse cylinder, like a couple of dozen laps and it was a complete hoot, but never on anything older. That sounds like a blast. I too haven't ridden in a few years, 8 in fact. I'd a very tidy track only 600rr for a couple of years after I stopped racing but since ...

I think Stoner just didn't like being told when he could race, or not as it happened.

That the wild card possibility is mentioned from the off sounds like mission creep.

Two guys, racing each other, for a PODIUM. Both of them pushing each other so hard that both guys have lost the front a couple of times. If you think MM was 'playing' check out the front end saves, Rossi too, they were racing hard, if you think not you need your eyes checked. Should MM concede third...

Re: 2015 title battle, 5 GPs in and beyond

Wow, MM has got under VR's skin. Reading the transcripts it looks like Rossi has the knives well sharpened. My gut say's he's making a mistake, he should be focusing on Lorenzo, nothing else. That was my impression too while it was going down. So what if Marc's got a well concealed bitter grudge or...

It couldn't be better. I haven't felt things this tense since Valencia 2006. And when it's this tense usually something utterly unforeseen and unpredicted happens. Boy are we lucky to see this play out real time.

Re: 2015 title battle, 5 GPs in and beyond

I don't agree, Rossi's window has narrowed substantially in that he now has only one chance to make a decisive impact. On one of his favorite tracks he's conceded a lot more than he hoped he might. He has to make something of Sepang because I think only a fool would bet against Lorenzo at Valencia, ...

Re: 2015 Pramac Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix

I think there is also a bit of a cultural difference. I don't know about Australia, but the use of wanker has grown enormously in the US in the past couple of years. Because it is not as associated with the act of onanism in the US as it is in the UK, people call each other wankers all the time. As...

Re: 2015 Pramac Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix

I second all of the above. Best race in a long time. I take it all back about MM, brilliant and clean racing, he even had Rossi apologizing on slow down lap. But isn't Iannone the dude, just awesome. All of the top 4, so fast and so precise. I think that race will get a few more viewings in the next...

Re: 2015 Motul Grand Prix of Japan

I watched the video from parc ferme carefully..... Great pic. I think when Lorenzo ran wide almost running off track he knew it was over. To some extent he was unlucky in that he got scant reward for his herculean effort in the opening laps, he said had it not dried up he'd have won and I agree. Ro...

Exactly. I know a bit about non verbals, I researched and co-wrote a training course on them in the context of business to business negotiation many years ago. Given the fact that there are only two other riders Rossi is likely to be locked in such a fierce and more importantly, evenly matched batt...

wow I didn't actually. We only get the parc ferme interviews on BT. Quite a dig at MM but entirely true. Not a dig at Marquez at all. Re: Gran Premio Movistar de Aragón 2015

MM's head is up his arse. Plain and simple. How long has the kid been racing? He is far from lacking in experience in managing a race, he's just too hot headed. He's fast and fearless and aggressive and and all of the above but he has no finesse, zero. With the magic front end on last years perfectl...
