Re: BSB 2021

Location; Little Budworth in Cheshire, doesn't that sound cute. Deer leap, Island bend, Knickerbrook, I like corners with names. One last quirky little thing about Oulton is that there's a little church just outside the circuit grounds at Druids. For that reason not a wheel turns before midday on a...

Re: ASBK Superbike championship

Watching some of the ASBK races on Eurosport it appears that a few circuits have concrete walls fairly close to the track

Re: BSB 2021

Went to Oulton Park for round one, it's a lovely wee circuit although at some points the fences keep you a long way from the track. The exit of Druids gives some spectacular photographs, I remember one in particular of Brookes way back in his HM Plant Honda days was incredible

Re: Moto GP schedual and the corona virus...

Can I ask how you guys outwith the UK are doing vaccination wise, it seems to be one of the things we have done well. Given the large percentage of population who have had both ( or even 1 jab) it seems the link between cases and hospitalisations has been broken. England are pretty much on route to ...

Re: BSB 2021

Brookes is always a slow starter, usually does no harm with the showdown format. Fairly sure its a showdown year again so he'll be a threat. Dont think any of you mentioned the impressive Peter Hickman. Lost over two stone for this season and basically said because there's no road racing this year h...

Re: Petronas

McPhee has shown he is capable at Grand Prix level, winning races and frequently near the front. One of his flaws I feel is that he's almost too soft for the madness of Moto3. He often gets bullied towards the back of the front group and ends up getting caught up in someone elses incident, I feel if...

Petronas

Probably because I'm Scottish, but did anyone else think the Petronas choice to take J McPhee's crew chief and give him to Jake Dixon was a bit Aprilia-esque? I heard Neil Hodgson say rumours suggest that Petronas are so desperate to get Dixon a decent result to justify putting him on Rossi's bike w...

Re: SHARK Grand Prix de France - rd.5

I feel that Lowes has lowered his stock with that move/ crash. Sam is at the higher end of the age threshold for promotion to the big class again, although he's fast the team bosses will be put off by the number of unforced errors he makes. He seemed to be suggesting to the team boss that Vierge cut...

Re: Will BMW deliver with Van Der Mark?

I really hope he does well, I like him and BMW although I'm fairly disappointed with their effort over the last two years. Poor effort with the top speed meaning Sykes, Reiterberger and Laverty really had no chance. I think van der Mark is a better rider than all three of them though

You're very welcome, do they do any road racing in Australia?

I know that Peter Hickman in that video ( briefly!!) raced in New Zealand a couple of years ago, including at the Cemetery Circuit which I think might be public roads

Re: Road racing 2021 - any good news anywhere?

I'm afraid not although I only keep up to speed with the NW200, TT and Ulster, I'm sure I read that one of the smaller events are hoping to run in the summer but I've read that a fair number are cancelled.

Re: ASBK Superbike championship

That is a real shame for everyone but in particular those of you in Australia. I take it the quarantine hotels in Melbourne are linked to the tennis?

My feelings are that there's a potential sting in the tail for Australasia with this virus.

Re: Danny Kent

Hopefully not a Gobert, he certainly rode in British Supertstock at the end of last year and got fairly strong as he went. I think he can do well but not so sure if the Suzuki can truly be a title contender.

He's on a last chance now, 27 and not a daft boy anymore. I wish him well

Re: BSB 2021

The world stage is missing strong American and Japanese riders, hopefully Beaubier, Gerloff and maybe Paasch a bit later can bring the US and A up to speed. On the Japanese note I'm intrigued to see how this lad Mizuno goes in BSB..........

Nagashima San

Reading on crash.net that he's taking a year out in 2021, not really any reason given. Shame, said it before that i like strong Japanese riders but Fingernails profile pic really doomed the last 3/4 of Testsuta's year.

He really got bashed about later on this year, hope we see him again all is ok
