2020 Jerez World Superbike FP2 Result: Rinaldi Tops Hot Session

As the weather hotted up and the laptimes rose in sympathy, Michael Ruben Rinaldi was the only rider in the top ten to improve on his morning's time, setting the quickest lap of the session ahead of Scott Redding and Alvaro Bautista.

Marco Melandri is back & he seems to have the best top speed. Little Jockey.

Took a while for the Ducatis to get up to speed, for a while Chaz was the quickest duck.

Not the usual suspects at the top of the times, Loris Baz quickest in FP1, Michael Ruben Rinaldi fastest in fp2.

Jerez could give us new winners. It will be interesting to see how results compare to round 1 FIVE months ago!

The field is close 12 or 13 riders within a second. times didn't drop much between morning & afternoon sessions.

Racing today and tomorrow will be fun.

I just watched (most of) FP1 and if you haven't seen his crash yet, please do. It's perhaps the most amazing, bizarre & funny crash I've seen. He said he had a bike problem but I'm not so sure... ;)

Haha - I totally agree. I've never seen anything like it. Figured he just forgot how to ride over lockdown, turns out you have to keep hold of the bike when you lean it over.
