To say you can't read anything into testing times, but Nakagami topping the times and being 0.3 off the pole (on his teammates bike!) is a noteworthy accomplishment for the young Japanese rider.

Test times mean something at the last test before the season starts.  The bikes will be completely different from now until Qatar.  And those who aren't testing development parts or software are left to work on setup while factory riders are grinding out.  Testing at this stage means little.

Whether or not he got a tow, Nakagami was still sat on the bike and still had to do the time. He may not do it again and it may not translate to much later in the season. But I agree, to top any timesheet in a field with talent this deep is impressive. Full stop.
