Any bets on who will
Finish the season second (assuming MM manages the points an wins the title)?
Over the last 6 races...
Over the last 6 races JL99 has scored the most points (114) with MM93 second at 106. Barring missing races due to injury, JL will finish second behind MM in the championship. And some people at Ducati (JL supporters) will be very upset, while those at Ducati who foolishly pushed JL out and over to Honda will feel very stupid. Claudio Domenicali deserves a very nice Christmas present from Alberto Puig.
My $ would be on a Ducati to finish 2nd
And probably the one ridden by Lorenzo.
Over the last 6 races (Mugello-AUT) JL has scored the most points out of the current top 5 in the championshiip (JL/MM/VR/AD/MV). He's only outscored MM by 8 pts, but he's outscored VR by 28, and AD by 31. He's outscored MV by 60!
It was a great race today.
Lorenzo for second in the championship for sure
Until Lorenzo won two GP on the Ducati, I frankly disliked him. He seemed arrogant.
Since the wins, I'm beginning to warm up to him. Watch out Marquez, Lorenzo's coming. I give him a half year on the Honda to start producing.
Championship runner up tough pick even now
Second in the championship ? I would like to see Dovizioso or Rossi take p2 in the chip.
Mathematically any body in the top eight or so now could take second, But....
Lorenzo has figured out how to ride a Ducati & can beat M.M.93 in races. I feel Rossi is well ahead of Mav & will remain so. Zarco might do better than M.V.25 in the final standings. But it doesn't seem like he can take 39 points off Vale, so J.Z.5 probably won't take 2nd in the chip. Cal could take a few good results & might be the second Honda at the end of the season, but not 2nd in the championship.
Iannone is 58 points behind Rossi. Crazy Joe is never gunna bridge that chasm.
Anything can happen. Realisticly only the next three behind MM93, that is Rossi & the two factory Ducatis JLo & Dovi. Judging by their form so far this year I think the ducks are more likely to get second rather than V.R.46. imho.

I think Lorenzo
could very well take 2nd in the championship. I doubt he will be a front runner at the next few races where they are not horsepower tracks. But it's great to see the 'fallen' champ back up there again. I always loved his riding style but never his personality. It was quite telling to see Dovi so crestfallen after the race. Actually all the sniping Dovi has been doing at Lorenzo has made me like him less.

Two tight battles for the season, I like it.
I bet Lorenzo gets #2. Can't pick the satellite, hard as I try. And that's fun! Any of the three could do it, and possibly grab 5th while doing so.
