Johann Zarco has taken charge of his home round of Moto2, the reigning champion upping the pace at the end of the afternoon to top the timesheets at Le Mans. The Frenchman just sneaked ahead of Tom Luthi, the Swiss rider having a good first day in Le Mans. Jonas Folger grabbed third spot, the last of the riders to finish close to Zarco, while others struggled.
Lorenzo Baldassari led the second wave, but was nearly half a second slower than Zarco, while Alex Rins took fifth, ahead of Taka Nakagami and Franco Morbidelli. Championship leader Sam Lowes had a very tough afternoon, crashing during FP2 and ending up in 13th, over a second off the pace of Zarco.

Danny Eslick
I hope that Danny Eslick can impress some sponsors and turn this ride into a full time gig.
Any 501C organizations that have some extra cash laying around, since your man dropped out of the presidential primary race; hint, hint. Do America proud and support Danny Eslick
Half a second off the last
Half a second off the last rider on the grid, and on the lone Suter. Tough ton see this going well for Eslick just yet. And he hasn't been impressing for a while now over here at least in a "world's stage" stand out manner.
Re presidential funds, his relations with our police suggest he could either be a bit Sanders, or The Donald...hoping more the former.
;)
Not holding out any hope here I am afraid.
