... should reconsider his involvement in SBK...
EBR
Actually, I think it's really cool that there are small factories like this giving it a shot. And with a very different sort of bike as well, which makes the class more interesting too.
I think coming from AMA is a tough transition as well. All the tracks are new for both the bike and the riders (apart from Laguna Seca of course), they have to get the bikes dialed in on very different tyres (they were on Dunlops in AMA), they have an engine that has no previous WSB use (the Rotax-designed 72° V-twin) so they have to develop everything themselves, and the whole team has to get used to the WSB routine.
Give them a bit of time. And although they may not have winning potential, who knows next season they might get close enough to become regular points scorers. That would be quite an achievement already for such a miniature firm. I think it's great they are on track. I like technical diversity in racing and brave newcomers. Go Erik!

There will always be a slowest bike. Or, to look at it another way, the EBR is faster than the WSBK Yamaha.
Attn: HRC/Honda UK, Rea Should be...
Rea should be in MotoGP already, riding for Gresini or LCR! Rea is -still- making the Fireblade look better than what it is compared to the WSB-competition! Honda needs to either give the man that new bike they put on the shelf or move him to where he belongs: Motogp! Heck, do both by 2016!
