Ouch
I note that Hayden sits behind in total four riders who, by and large because they just have not performed well enough, will not be in MotoGP next year. Ouch.
Third place overall is very achievable for Stoner -- in the last two years he's done well at all of the remaining venues: (1, 1), (1, 6), and (2, 1).
Just a thought
I'm thinking the fun this year might be between Stoner and Pedrosa for third - I'm sure Dani has not been thrilled about wearing that number 3 tag for the last couple of seasons (and why he does I have no idea) but to have it taken away by a rider who missed three races and hasn't been in good form all season - would be quite the slap in the face - and I'm pretty sure he won't want that to happen.
Hopefully the last three races will be less boring than yesterday.
