2013 Valencia Moto2 QP Result: A Dominant Parting Gift

Results Below

Pol Espargaro is determined to go out on top. The Moto2 World Champion grabbed the pole with the fastest ever Moto2 lap at the Valencia circuit on Saturday.

Espargaro's sixth pole of the year with a time of 1'34.957 placed him three-tenths of a second faster than second place Simone Corsi who, in turn, was closely followed by Jordi Torres. The rest of the riders, 4th through 16th, remain separated by less than a second. Scott Redding, the likely second place finisher in the 2013 Moto2 championship, qualified a distant 17th while nursing an injury.

I know, it's a test.

It's Pol on pole not Aleix.

And Bradley Smith is now in Moto PG and doing well today, qualifying 6th in that contest.

Gino Rea finished 13th, but he is a Brit too.

Scott Redding finished a distant 17th whilst nursing an injury.

Has hospitality been good in Valencia? ;-)

Drunk? I wish...

Wow. That was awful. Sorry folks. Posting Valencia times and write-ups from the West Coast of the U.S. means midnight-to-7:30 am work. (After a real job during the day.) No excuses though. Next time, much much more espresso.

All corrected

Mike posts these from Seattle, so the time difference is brutal. The errors are corrected now.
