2013 Sachsenring Moto 3 Race Result: A Cat and Mouse (and Mouse) Display

Results Below

Alex Rins won a thrilling three-rider battle on the second-to-last corner to take his second win of the year at the Sachsenring circuit, Sunday.  Championship leader Luis Salom, who had taken the lead with three laps to go, ended in second.  And a frustrated Maverick Vinales finished third, less than a wheel-length behind Salom.

Much of the race was a cat-and-mouse battle between the three who took turns leading and stalking but with none of the riders having the speed for a clear breakaway.

Salom leads the championship with 172 points followed by Vinales  (158 points) and Rins (142 points) in third.

Good on the other hemisphere

Jack Miller, Brad Binder and Arthur Sissis. Now if only HRC can come up with a few more ponies Mahindra style.

Southern Hemisphere

I agree Pit Bull, well done boys, good to see the downunders are still there, if only NZ could produce some international talent as well!
