2013 COTA Moto2 Race Result

Race Results and summary for Moto2:

Nicolas Terol took his first win of the season in dominating fashion Sunday, riding clear of the field by three seconds in the innaugural Moto2 race at the Circuit of the Americas track near Austin, Texas. Esteve Rabat survived a furious three-way battle for second, nipping Mika Kallio on the final corner. Kallio placed third with Dominique Aegerter, who bumped with Kalio on the final lap, coming in fourth. Pole-sitter Scott Redding placed fifth but leads the championship. Pol's boot?

Overall not bad for my first Moto2 race to attend. I wonder the condition of Pol's ankle seeing as how is boot was flung off at some point during his crash.

Redding

Sad to see Redding fade. Thought he was on for another podium at the start. Leading the points tables soothes it a little, I guess..
Great battle for 2/3/4.... :O)

Tire

I saw a brief tweet that he had a tire slipping on the rim. Bad luck I guess, but as you say, he's leading the championship. Should be a great season again1

Well done Westy! 9.44s from the winner, that's a great result.
