2012 Philip Island WSS Race - Tight Victory Taken After Race-Long Thriller

Kenan Sofuoglu capped off his return to World Supersport with a win Sunday afternoon in Philip Island. The former world champion and Moto2 star won a thrilling battle with Fabien Foret, Broc Parkes, Jules Cluzel, and Sam Lowes.

Lowes led the opening third of the race before being overtaken by Foret and eventually fading to fifth. Cluzel continued his impressive debut with a fourth-place finish, just missing out on the podium in the final lap.

Pole man Parkes fell to fifth by the end of the first lap and fell a further place by the one-third mark before mounting a charge to finish on the podium as Lowes and Cluzel faded.

Metcher and Day continue

Metcher and Day continue where they left off last season in 600 stock. Great debut in the bigs. Those two will find a podium this season I think.

U.S. Coverage?

Does anyone know if SPEED here in the U.S. is going to cover WSS this year? As far as I can tell this race is not going to be aired (normally it is shown on Tuesday afternoons)... errrr

Hopefully this is just this one time.

We already lost World Rally on the Velocity channel (formally HD Theater)... sucks!!
