2010 Laguna Seca MotoGP FP2 Result: Lorenzo Edges Stoner And Pedrosa In Morning
Submitted by David Emmett on Sat, 2010-07-24 19:57.
Jorge Lorenzo topped the timesheets on a beautiful Monterey morning at Laguna Seca, the Fiat Yamaha rider taking over the top spot at the halfway mark and not relinquishing it. Lorenzo displaced Marlboro Ducati's Casey Stoner, the Australian fastest in the first half of the session, but there was less than a tenth between the two. There was a similar gap to third-place man Dani Pedrosa, the Spaniard coming out ahead of his Repsol Honda teammate Andrea Dovizioso, reversing their positions from yesterday. Ben Spies once again took 5th place, the Monster Tech 3 Yamaha rider edging Fiat Yamaha rider Valentino Rossi.

Correction
I think you meant FP2
Thanks!
Whoops! Caught out by autocompletion. Thanks for the heads up, corrected that now.
Suzuki Mystery:
What should we infer from the two Suzuki riders - one a rookie at the track and carrying signficant injuries, and the other a veteran whose career (nearly) dates back to the period when the track hosted its first GP - posting the exact same times?
Hmmm...
Either one of them is not trying hard. Or, perhaps, in their case the ratio is 95% bike, 3% weather, 2% rider.
;-)
I kind of got the impression
I kind of got the impression that Cap is towing his teammate around, to get him up to speed on a new track. There should be a difference in Qual if I'm right.
Yes, the gap...
...spiked to a whopping .123 second!
;-D

Fortunately for me, I didn't
Fortunately for me, I didn't bet the house on this. Maybe running the same times is job security on a Suzuki. :-)
